Eleven different insiders at SIMON PROPERTY GROUP INC. (SPG) turned up as buyers in the same reporting window, and together their purchases came to $460,716. The transactions carry a date of September 30th, 2026. Aeppel Glyn is among the names on the list.

Group buying is the part worth isolating here. A single purchase tells you one person acted. Eleven names landing on the same date is a different kind of event, because it usually means a shared trigger rather than eleven separate decisions made in isolation.

Eleven separate insiders put their names on the same purchase date at the same company.

The full list of buyers reads: Aeppel Glyn, Cicco Martin J, GLASSCOCK LARRY C, Jones Nina P, LEIBOWITZ REUBEN S, LEWIS RANDALL J, RODKIN GARY M, Roe Peggy, SELIG STEFAN M, Smith Daniel C., and STEWART MARTA R. Every one of them is an individual rather than an institution.

Size matters when reading a cluster like this. The combined $460,716 is a modest figure next to a company of Simon Property Group's scale, so the signal is in the breadth of participation rather than the dollars committed. Eleven people at $460,716 is a different shape of data than one person at $460,716, and it is worth treating that way.

On pricing, our table carries one reference point: the last price of $200.95. Readers should not assume that figure matches what any individual buyer paid on September 30th, 2026, because reported purchase prices and the latest quote are separate numbers. Where we do not have the executed price, we do not estimate it.

Simon Property Group sits in the Real Estate Investment Trusts sector, which is a rate sensitive corner of the market. REIT share prices respond to borrowing costs, to occupancy and leasing trends, and to the pace of distributions, and insiders at REITs are typically paid partly in equity, which means their ownership moves for reasons that have nothing to do with conviction. That is the main caution to hold against any cluster of buys in this sector.

The other caution is timing. A date on a filing tells you when a transaction occurred, not what the buyer knew or expected. Form 4 disclosures record the fact of a purchase and nothing about motive, and nobody at this desk is in a position to supply the reasoning. If a company explains the buying, that explanation belongs in a company statement, not in an inference drawn from a table.

What a reader can take from this entry is narrow and checkable: eleven insiders, one date of September 30th, 2026, $460,716 in total, and a last price of $200.95. Whether that pattern repeats in the next filing window is the thing to watch, since isolated clusters and sustained clusters carry different weight.

All figures in this article come from Form 4 insider transaction filings as collected and reconciled in our own tables.
